Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, Youth & Family Services, this position (Seasonal Child Care Provider/Babysitter) provides child care for children of parents attending Family Group Therapy/Counseling sessions, typically at our Greenleaf facility.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The duties listed below encompass the principle duties and responsibilities of this position.  All duties are not necessarily performed by a single job incumbent.  An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following functions.  

Core Duties:

  • Provide supervision to children (age 0 to 13) of parents attending Family Group Therapy/Counseling sessions.
  • Play games, color, read to children, and/or watch movies, as appropriate.
  • Notify parent if diaper needs changing, or if children need to be accompanied to washroom.




Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Childcare or babysitting experience.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public.

Job Specifications

Minimum Education, Experience and Certification

Must be 16 years or older.  Minimum high school education or GED equivalency in progress.  Experience babysitting all ages of children required.  Babysitting certification a plus. American Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 2 months of hire.
