How Does It Work?
Food is provided once a month during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.).
Located in the Supervisor’s Office in the Town Hall Building.
After registration, pick-up is available once a month.
Residents receive two (2) grocery bags of mostly non-perishable food, juice and select frozen items, if available (i.e. chicken, hot dogs, pork chops, ground beef).
Donations are welcomed at the Town Hall from 9–5, Monday–Friday.
Donations of all non perishable food items are needed.
Right now we are very low on peanut butter, laundry detergent, canned fruit, skillet boxed dinners/canned dinners (such as Hamburger Helper and Chef Boyardee) and paper towels.
WE ARE ALSO ACCEPTING DONATIONS OF BABY WIPES FOR TWICE AS NICE MOTHER & CHILD.
Twice as Nice Mother & Child is a 501(c)(3) organization located in Gurnee, Illinois that strives to ensure that mothers and children have their most basic needs met. They provide help and hope to families in crisis by offering gently used items and other assistance FREE OF CHARGE. They were given a generous donation of 170 cases of baby wipes from a local company and a possible mold contamination problem prompted that company to recall certain lots of their baby wipes. They discovered that all 115 cases of wipes that they had left from the donation were impacted by the recall. This equates to a loss of 55,200 wipes for their diaper bank, which is more than half of their inventory. We are accepting donations of baby wipes at the Food Pantry on behalf of Twice as Nice Mother & Child.
