Join us for our July BBQ Potluck where you can sample different delicious dishes and spend the afternoon with friends. We will provide the hamburgers, hot dogs, and beverages. Presentation: The Trials of Mrs. Abraham Lincoln

Back by popular demand. Lynn Ramirez will follow Mary Todd Lincoln’s journey from her days in Springfield, Illinois, where she met and married Abraham Lincoln, became a mother of four sons, then later went on to the White House. Her life’s journey led her to an insane asylum in Batavia, Illinois. Hear her joys and trials experienced along the way. Refreshments will be served.

Concert in the Park

Grab your lawn chair, umbrella, snacks, and favorite non-alcoholic summer drink for the first ever Warren Township Senior Center Concert in the Park featuring the Mike & Traci duo from the band, “Good Clean Fun.” Mike & Traci will entertain you with music from every decade and virtually every style. They will deliver a fun and exciting show that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Fish Boil & BBQ Chicken Lunch

Fitzgerald’s Genoa Junction Restaurant will be transporting their traditional outdoor kettle and cooking skills to our Senior Center. Lunch includes boneless North Atlantic Cod served with sweet drawn butter, boiled red potatoes, onions, coleslaw, BBQ chicken served with Fitzgerald’s own honey BBQ sauce, and fresh salted rye bread. For dessert a frosted apple square nicely rounds out this fabulous meal. Watch the kettle erupt into a fiery spectacle known as the “Boil Over” right here at the senior center at approximately 11:10am.

Grandparents Day Fall Festival 2021

Mark your calendar for our, “Grandparents Day Fall Festival 2021.” Bring your family for a memorable day at the Senior Center. A fun, entertaining day filled with food, family photos, games, and train rides is planned. Registration is required.

Presentation: Beyond the Devil in the White City

Step back in time to the 1893 Chicago Worlds Columbian Exposition! John Borowski, independent American filmmaker and author will be at the Senior Center to give a lecture, 64 minute film screening presentation, and Q & A on the history of H.H. Holmes, America’s First Serial Killer, along with the book, “The Strange Series of Dr. H.H. Holmes.” The focus of his work has been on late nineteenth and early twentieth century serial killers, initially in a trilogy of documentaries of American criminals, more recently on particular international criminals.
