Message from the Director
For over 35 years Warren Township Youth and Family Services has worked hard to meet the emotional, physical and recreational needs of our community. While Warren Township has experienced many changes during this time, parents still want to raise emotionally healthy children and our youth will always need a safe place to go when life seems overwhelming. Our counseling program provides free or low cost services to children, ages 8-18. Working with a young person and their family, we encourage change in the individual and the environment. Besides family counseling, Warren Township Youth Services also provides educational and skill based workshops, such as social skills development and financial counseling. Our Gurnee and Park City Teen Centers offer local teens a supervised environment for after school activities. The Teen Centers are safe havens where members (grades 6-12) can hang-out or participate in daily activities. Both Teen Centers are equipped with filtered computers, video games, DDR and pool tables. While some youth participate in the daily activities of arts & crafts, sports and cooking clubs, others choose to participate in special programs such as the student run advisory committees, field trips and homework assistance.
