High school seniors graduating this year can apply to win one of seven $2,000 scholarships through the Township Officials of Illinois (TOI) 2012 scholarship program.

Applicants must submit the completed application, cover letter, an interview with a current township official, transcript of grades, two letters of recommendation and an essay on The Role of Township Government in Today's Society and in the Future.

The deadline to apply is March 1, 2012.
