Leaf Collection Program Click here for Leaf and Landscape Waste Burning Information Warren Township Road District's Annual Leaf Collection Program begins the week of Monday, October 17, 2011 and will run THROUGH the week of Monday, November 21, 2011. The last day of leaf pickup will be on Saturday, November 26, 2011. Residents are asked to rake leaves to the curb where vacuum trucks will collect them. Waste Management will make six trips throughout the Township Road District to collect leaves. Leaves will be picked up along every street and road within the Township Road District on each trip. Each pass through the Township Road District may take several days. Residents are reminded that once the collection truck makes its final run in your neighborhood, it will not return to collect any additional leaves. Waste Management will make every effort to collect leaves along each Township roadway every week. However, factors such as weather or large volumes of leaves may slow down collection. The target collection dates are shown on the Leaf Collection Schedule Map. To see a specific list of roads color-coded by day, please see the Leaf Collection Road List. Due to the limited reach of the vacuum truck, the rows of leaves should begin at the edge of pavement and be 5 feet in width to allow pickup by the leaf vacuum. Leaves that are placed farther than 5 feet back will be the homeowner's responsibility to move closer to road for pickup. When placing the leaves at the curb, please do not block culverts or storm sewer openings. Leaves piled in these areas may create drainage problems in the event of heavy rains or melting snow. Do not include any other debris such as cans, paper, bottles, rocks, logs, brush, or construction materials. These objects can damage the equipment or cause injury to the crews.
